TROPICAL DEPRESSION BILL DISCUSSION NUMBER 11

WIKI-HURRICANES FORECAST CENTER

1000PM CDT WED JUN 17 2015

Not much has changed will Bill over the last six hours, with the center now moving slowly towards the Red River. The center is currently weighed more towards the western part of the overall circulation. Heavy rains continue within a large rain shield on the northwestern quadrant of Bill, as opposed to intermittent rainbands on all other sides of Bill. As the circulation remains closed at this time, Bill remains a tropical depression. The intensity remains at 25 knots due to surface observations of sustained winds originally reported around 27 mph. The track forecast remains unchanged as there have been no significant changes to the dominant steering currents, and this advisory is virtually an update of the last. Bill is still expected to gradually deteriorate in organization, but perhaps maintain winds as it traverses northeastward across the eastern United States.
