TROPICAL DEPRESSION BILL DISCUSSION NUMBER 9

WIKI-HURRICANES FORECAST CENTER

0400 PM CDT WED JUN 17 2015

Tropical Depression Bill continues to be a well-organized system, though its tropical characteristics are deteriorating. Most of the convective activity is located north of the center. The main band's origin appears to be shifting west around the center while the rest of the spiral band extends further east near the coastline. Surface observations reveal that the cyclone continues to maintain a defined low-level center, with minimum pressure around 1003mb. Forecast reasoning remains the same as the last advisory. Slow but steady weakening is as Bill continues to travel inland, and it is expected to transition into a post-tropical cyclone within 36 hours. The remnant low of the system should become absorbed by an approaching frontal system as the vortex moves on a more northeasterly track.
